Veterinary Receptionist/Client Service Coordinator *

YEAR-ROUND POSITION

(not a seasonal summer position) The Plattsmouth Animal Hospital is looking to expand our front desk team. Our ideal candidate would be familiar with the veterinary industry software, Idexx ezyVet (but this is not required, as we are happy to provide on-the-job training). A minimum of 3 years of customer service experience is required, and the candidate should be able to complete the following job responsibilities in a friendly and competent manner: Greet clients and their owners when they arrive for appointments. Have excellent telephone and texting etiquette skills. Schedule client appointments, routine and emergency. Obtain patient history and educate clients on heartworm and flea preventative options. Check in all clients, including weighing animals and putting them in the proper room. Maintain exam rooms for the veterinary technicians and veterinarians Bill clients based on appointments. Communicate with veterinary professionals to provide information. Handle complaints or issues completely and accurately. Refill prescriptions for clients Help owners with medication and food pick up. Complete opening and closing tasks. We look forward to meeting you! Our ideal candidate has experience working in a veterinary animal hospital setting or a boarding facility. We are also willing to provide on-the-job training to any motivated candidate who does not possess previous experience. We are looking for a candidate seeking long-term employment working with veterinarians + patients and their owners. This position will also include the possible opportunity for interested applicants to cross-train to assist the veterinarians with patients. This would include helping to maintain a clean and safe environment for our patients, assisting with patient care, and client communication. We would provide paid training for daily tasks. We also go on occasional house-call visits for our patients, which can be a lot of fun. If this is something you would be interested in for the future, let us know in your application. Schedule Most of our employees choose a 3-3.5 day work week (27-32 hours). You must be available from 7:30 am to 5:30 pm on your scheduled days during the week. And 7:00 am to Noon on any scheduled Saturdays (typically every other Saturday). We do not offer partial-day schedules. For applicants who have not worked in a veterinary hospital previously, upon completing the interview process, you may be asked to return for a job-shadow style follow-up interview to ensure that you are comfortable working around animals and medical procedures. Payscale From $15.50 and up -- based on the applicant's previous work experience. Licensed veterinary technicians start at a higher rate. Enquire via message or email.
