Veterinary Technician

Overview:

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Veterinary Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in animal care and provide exceptional customer service to our clients. Some reception duties are required for this job. This role is critical to the smooth operation of our veterinary clinic and requires a strong understanding of veterinary care and a passion for animals.

Responsibilities:

• Greet clients and their pets in a friendly and professional manner
• Handle and care for animals in a safe and humane manner
• Administer vaccinations and medications as directed by the veterinarian
• Assist with surgical procedures and maintain a clean and organized surgical area
• Conduct routine animal restraint and maintain control of animals in the clinic
• Operate digital X-ray equipment and take radiographs as needed
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records
• Handle cash, credit cards, and other financial transactions
• Keep the reception area and treatment area and surrounding areas clean and organized
• Perform other duties as necessary to ensure the smooth operation of the clinic
• Have knowledge of preventions and be comfortable with client education

Experience:

• Previous experience as a Veterinary Technician or in a related field is highly preferred
• Knowledge of animal anatomy and husbandry practices
• Strong communication and customer service skills
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Cornerstone software experience is a plus
• Zoetis in house lab machine experience is a plus
