Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Veterinary Technician to join our
NON-CORPORATE, PRIVATELY OWNED
team. We are a group of hard working individuals that are not controlled by a large parent group controlling how we practice medicine and believe that veterinary medicine should stay in the hands of the veterinarian and veterinary technician. As a Veterinary Technician, you will play a crucial role in providing high-quality care to our animal patients and high-touch customer service to our clients. Your primary responsibilities will include assisting veterinarians during examinations and surgery, performing laboratory tests, administering medications, and providing general care for animals. The ideal candidate will have a strong passion for animal welfare and possess excellent technical skills.
Responsibilities:
  • Assist veterinarians during examinations and surgical procedures
  • Perform laboratory tests such as blood work, urinalysis, and fecal analysis
  • Administer medications, vaccines, and treatments as directed by veterinarians
  • Prepare animals for surgery and assist with anesthesia monitoring
  • Take X-rays
  • Provide general care for animals including grooming, feeding, and exercise
  • Maintain accurate medical records and update patient files
  • Educate pet owners on proper animal care and treatment plans
  • Clean and sterilize equipment and maintain a clean work environment
Experience:
  • Previous experience working in a veterinary clinic or animal hospital required
  • Strong teamwork and ability to get along with your team
  • Knowledge of veterinary terminology and procedures
  • Proficiency in animal handling and restraint techniques
  • Familiarity with X-ray equipment operation
  • Understanding of animal physiology and common medical conditions
  • Ability to perform basic laboratory tests such as blood draws and catheterization
Qualifications:
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to effectively interact with both clients and colleagues
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment
  • Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed We offer competitive compensation based on experience.
Note:
All positions must be paid including internship positions.
