Veterinary Technician

Howard City Veterinary Services is a privately owned, two-doctor small animal practice that takes pride in caring for our community's dogs and cats like they're our own. We focus on compassionate, high-quality medicine while building genuine relationships with both our clients and each other. We're looking for a Veterinary Technician or experienced Veterinary Assistant who enjoys being part of a close-knit team, takes pride in their work, and truly cares about their patients. Responsibilities Assist veterinarians with exams, surgeries, and treatments Obtain patient histories and maintain accurate records Administer medications, vaccines, and treatments Perform lab work including bloodwork, fecals, and urinalysis Monitor anesthesia and support patient recovery Take and process radiographs Place and maintain IV catheters Safely and compassionately handle patients Educate clients on medications and preventive care Assist with dental procedures and cleanings Help keep the clinic clean, organized, and running smoothly Work closely with the team to provide the best care possible Qualifications Veterinary Technician or Veterinary Assistant experience preferred Licensed Veterinary Technician (LVT/RVT/CVT) is a plus, but not required Strong communication and teamwork skills Ability to stay organized and keep up in a busy clinic A kind, compassionate, and professional attitude Experience with anesthesia, lab work, or radiology is a bonus Why You'll Love It Here Privately owned practice with a personal, community-focused approach Supportive team that works together and helps each other grow Hands-on learning opportunities Competitive pay based on experience Employee discounts and available benefits Opportunity to grow with the practice If you're looking for a place where you can do meaningful work, be part of a supportive team, and make a difference in your community, we'd love to meet you.
