Job Description

thyssenkrupp integrated its Forging & Machining and Undercarriage businesses to start the new business unit Forged Technologies. With roughly 7,000 employees at 18 production sites in seven different countries, thyssenkrupp Forged Technologies has sales of over one billion euros and operates over 50 forging press lines and more than 150 machining and assembly lines in seven countries. The product portfolio includes undercarriage systems for heavy machinery as well as crankshafts, connecting rods, pistons, chassis products, transmission systems and rotor shafts for the automotive industry. What You'll Do Keep machines and buildings running smoothly through handson repairs Troubleshoot and fix production equipment issues Support and update robotic programming Perform routine and preventative maintenance to keep downtime low Your DaytoDay Diagnose, repair, and update malfunctioning plant equipment and facility systems Troubleshoot electrical and mechanical issueschecking voltages, replacing components, swapping gauges, and making camera/software adjustments Use your PLC knowledge to identify and resolve faults involving servos, AC motion controls, robotics, VFDs, and related electronic components Complete mechanical and machining maintenance as needed Follow OEMbased preventative maintenance schedules for all machinery and facility equipment Record daily PMs and key readings (emissions, dust collector, blast wheel amps, water treatment conductivity, etc.) Read and interpret electrical and blueprint drawings to guide repairs Jump in on additional projects and tasks as needed How You'll Be Measured You make effective repairs quickly and safely You keep accurate maintenance records and system readings You reduce equipment issues through strong preventative maintenance habits What You'll Bring Education & Training High school diploma or equivalent required Specialized mechanical or technical training preferred Experience 35 years of handson maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment Skills & Abilities Strong mechanical aptitude, especially with presses Solid understanding of PLCs (AllenBradley/Siemens), robotics (ABB/Fanuc), and electrical control systems Able to troubleshoot complex mechanical, electrical, and automation issues Skilled with pneumatic/hydraulic systems, welding, and fabrication Comfortable converting standard/metric measurements and performing basic math Can read electrical schematics and blueprints Excellent communication, problemsolving, and reasoning skills Able to follow stepbystep instructions and work safely with a variety of maintenance equipment Adaptablequick to learn new technologies, systems, and tools Thrives in a fastpaced environment and can juggle multiple tasks at once Curious, proactive, and always willing to learn something new The [above] is intended to describe the general content of and requirements for the performance of this job.
