Job Description
Position Summary The Vice President of Treasury Management is responsible for leading the bank's treasury management function, driving growth in fee-based revenue, and delivering cash management solutions that meet the needs of commercial and business clients. This role combines sales leadership, product development, and client relationship management to enhance the bank's competitive position within the community. Key Responsibilities Business Development & Revenue Growth Develop and execute strategies to grow treasury management deposits and fee income. Partner with commercial lenders to identify and win new business opportunities. Call on prospective and existing clients to present treasury solutions, including cash management, payments, and liquidity services. Meet or exceed assigned sales goals and performance metrics. Client Relationship Management Serve as a trusted advisor to business clients on cash flow optimization and risk management. Maintain and deepen relationships with existing clients to drive retention and cross-sell opportunities. Ensure a high level of client satisfaction through responsive service and tailored solutions. Product & Service Management Oversee treasury management product offerings, including ACH, wire transfer, remote deposit capture, online banking, fraud prevention, and merchant services. Recommend enhancements and new products based on market trends and client needs. Ensure proper pricing, profitability, and competitiveness of services. Leadership & Collaboration Collaborate with commercial banking, retail, operations, and IT teams to deliver integrated client solutions. Provide training and support to internal staff on treasury management products and sales techniques. May supervise treasury management officers or support staff, depending on bank size. Risk & Compliance Ensure all treasury management services comply with regulatory requirements, bank policies, and industry best practices. Monitor operational and fraud risks associated with treasury services. Maintain strong knowledge of payments systems, security protocols, and compliance standards (e.g., NACHA rules). Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business Administration, or related field (MBA preferred). 7-10+ years of banking experience, with a focus on treasury management or cash management services. Proven track record in business development and client relationship management. Strong knowledge of treasury products, payments systems, and commercial banking operations. Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills. Ability to work collaboratively across departments in a community bank environment. Preferred Skills Experience working in a community or regional bank setting. Familiarity with treasury management platforms and digital banking tools. Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
