Credit Union Angott Search Group is pleased to partner with a growing credit union in the search for a Vice President of Finance. The VP Finance is responsible for the strategic management of organizational financial risk, including oversight of balance sheet strategy, interest rate risk, liquidity management, investment activities, and organizational financial performance. This leadership role partners closely with Executive Management and the Board of Directors to support strategic decision-making, financial planning, and long-term organizational success. The ideal candidate will bring strong asset/liability management expertise, investment portfolio experience, and the ability to communicate complex financial concepts across all levels of the organization.Responsibilities:
Employ balance sheet management strategies to effectively align organizational interest rate and liquidity risk levels with regulatory guidelines, operational objectives, and desired risk tolerances. Evaluate organizational financial performance and recommend strategies to improve financial results across the organization and individual business lines. Develop and model cash flow forecasts across multiple time horizons, balance sheet classes, and interest rate environments to support liquidity planning and management. Manage the credit union's investment portfolio, including buy/sell decisions and collaboration with investment advisory partners regarding portfolio composition, risk exposure, cash flow needs, and strategic positioning. Provide strategic financial guidance to Executive Management and the Board of Directors regarding economic trends, expansion opportunities, and new initiatives. Lead the annual budgeting process, including collaboration with internal stakeholders and presentation of budget recommendations and key assumptions to leadership and the Board. Communicate financial results, trends, and concepts effectively throughout the organization. Play a key leadership role in pricing strategies for loan and deposit products and services. Oversee the daily operations of the Finance Team, including performance management, staff development, and fostering organizational culture and values.Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or related field required. MBA preferred. 5-8 years of progressive Asset Liability Management (ALM) experience. 8-10 years of related financial leadership experience within a financial institution environment. Strong understanding of balance sheet management, liquidity management, investment portfolio strategy, and financial reporting.
