ABOUT STOCK FARM HOPLAND
  • A family-owned restaurant with an accompanying 7 room inn in the heart of Hopland, California, is a special place to give locals and travelers alike an experience of comfort through locally farmed ingredients, handcrafted beer, Mendocino County wine, and a delicious menu inspired by our wood-burning oven.
We take great pride in our tiny town, its rich history and our beautiful bounty.
OBJECTIVE
  • The overall objective and purpose of our Server Role is to create a welcoming and memorable dining experience for our guests.
AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY
  • Facilitate a genuine guest experience for hotel guests and local patrons.
Has knowledge of the property, workspace, and the menu to readily share information with our guests. Knowledgeable of all food and beverage offerings, brand selections, and pricing. Specific detailed knowledge of wine and beer selections. Ability to accurately record and enter all food and beverage orders into the POS system. Working knowledge of how to input tickets and settle guest checks in the POS system. Greets each guest in a timely manner, following the proper steps of service. Performs opening and closing procedures, and side work duties. Clears, cleans, and resets tables as needed. Works with the culinary team to coordinate priorities, provides assistance, and performs other duties as requested Demonstrates knowledge of all hotel safety and security procedures as required, maintaining a secure and safe environment for employees as well as guests. Resolve problems and guest complaints as they arise, and alert the leadership team of any issues.

  • Strong customer service skills.
Maintains a positive attitude, and strong work ethic. Comprehensive knowledge of a safe work environment. Ability to implement and uphold service and product standards. Advanced level of verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills. Ability to prioritize and organize work assignments. Ability to work well in stressful, high pressure situations. Take ownership and solve problems. High level of attention to detail. Ability to effectively multitask. Strong ability to work independently, and possess a self starter mentality.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
  • 2+ years of previous serving experience in a restaurant setting.
California food handlers permit. Has open availability.
WORK ENVIRONMENT / CONDITIONS
  • Must be able to work in a shared, fast-paced environment.
Ability to stand for a full work shift.
