Warehouse Associate and VMI Specialist - Must have Valid Drivers License

Job Objective:

Provide customer inventory management support and perform warehouse operations and packaging services for Ohio distribution centers.

Responsibilities:

Plan for the timely receipt and checking in inbound inventory shipments. Unload shipments and verify receipt of proper material type, quantity, delivery, packaging, part type and appearance, etc. Travel to customer-site stockrooms (in-state overnight travel) to manage VMI, inventory, and replenishment. Complete all receiving paperwork and put away inbound receiving as required. Replenish totes to proper quantity and manage SKU receipts. Inspect products for type, size, quality, cosmetic appearance, for defects. Ability to continuously lift up to 70# boxes. Pick and pull orders and transfers as required. Pack orders for shipment. Wrap skids for shipping. Provide support for remote DC activity as needed Drive forklift and order picker and other material handling equipment as needed Maintain forklift and equipment as well as certifications as required Drive GLF delivery vehicles to customer and supplier sites as needed; including on occasion an after-hours visit to carrier terminal or hub for rush deliveries. Maintain all work, facility and storage areas in a professional, clean and organized manner Cycle count inventory onsite in Twinsburg as well as customer site VMI Maintain external grounds of facilities as needed Willingness to learn InxSQL ERP, UPS, FedEx, and other software systems as need to perform duties. Performs other special duties as assigned Internal /

Job Specifications:

Valid drivers license High school diploma minimum with some college preferred 3-5 years of experience within industrial warehousing and distribution industry Must understand inventory and warehouse control processes and systems Willingness and motivation to learn fastener business and nomenclature; industrial experience in fasteners a plus Must be able to lift 70 pounds on a regular basis Works with a high-degree of urgency and is deadline/timeline driven. Must have high degree of confidence and professionalism. Must be good communicator, both verbally and in writing Should have experience using MS Office 365 software Ability to work in ambiguity and take direction in an ever-changing environment.
