Job Title:
Warehouse Coordinator Job Description The Warehouse Coordinator oversees day-to-day warehouse operations on the first shift, ensuring the efficient loading and unloading of trucks, accurate preparation of shipments, and proper management of all related documentation. This role uses WMS/ERP systems and spreadsheets to perform data entry, generate reports, and maintain precise inventory and shipping records while supporting a fast-paced distribution and logistics environment. 1st.Shift:
7am - 3:30pm Monday to Friday Responsibilities Coordinate the loading and unloading of trucks to ensure timely and accurate movement of goods. Prepare outbound shipments, including picking, packing, labeling, and staging orders for dispatch. Create, review, and manage shipping documentation such as invoices and bills of lading. Use WMS/ERP software to perform data entry, track inventory, and update order and shipment statuses. Generate regular reports related to inventory, shipping, receiving, and warehouse activities. Maintain accurate warehouse inventory records and support cycle counts or inventory audits as needed. Oversee shipping and receiving activities to ensure compliance with company procedures and customer requirements. Handle material movement within the warehouse, including storage, replenishment, and order fulfillment tasks. Operate sit-down forklifts and other material handling equipment safely and efficiently. Collaborate daily with warehouse workers and other team members to coordinate tasks and resolve issues. Communicate clearly with internal stakeholders to provide updates on shipments, inventory, and operational status. Support adherence to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and other applicable warehouse and food handling standards. Prioritize and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment while meeting deadlines. Contribute to a safe, organized, and clean warehouse environment in line with OSHA and company standards. Demonstrate leadership and problem-solving abilities to address operational challenges and improve processes. Essential Skills 1-3 years of experience in a warehouse, distribution, or logistics environment. Proficiency with WMS/ERP software for data entry and inventory or shipment tracking. Strong computer skills, including basic proficiency with spreadsheets and Microsoft Excel. Ability to operate sit-down forklifts and other warehouse material handling equipment safely. Experience with inventory control, shipping, and receiving processes. Ability to prepare and manage shipping documentation, including bills of lading and invoices. Effective organizational, multitasking, and problem-solving skills. Good written and oral communication skills. Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work closely with warehouse staff on daily tasks. Ability to perform in a fast-paced environment while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail. Additional Skills & Qualifications Experience working with warehouse inventory management processes. Familiarity with supply chain and distribution operations. Proficiency with Microsoft Word and other basic office software. Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) experience preferred. Experience in a GMP warehouse or food distribution environment is a plus. Demonstrated leadership abilities in a warehouse or logistics setting. Comfort working with data entry and generating reports from WMS/ERP systems. Work Environment This role is based on a first-shift schedule, typically from 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. The position is located in a brand-new, modern warehouse facility of approximately 575,000 square feet. The warehouse is heated in the winter and equipped with fans for air circulation in warmer months; while it is not air conditioned, the interior temperature remains noticeably cooler than outside on hot days. The facility stores and ships manufactured food products produced at another plant, so there is a consistent spice smell throughout the warehouse. Work is performed in an active distribution environment using forklifts and other material handling equipment, with a focus on inventory, shipping, receiving, picking, packing, and data entry through WMS/ERP systems and spreadsheets. Safety is a priority, and footwear must meet OSHA standards, such as steel-toe or composite-toe shoes. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Mickleton, NJ. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $21.00 - $21.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
