Job Description
We are seeking a Warehouse Office Manager to support daily operations for our busy distribution and logistics facility in Montgomery, IL. This is a hands-on administrative role located inside an active warehouse — not a traditional front office environment. You will work directly with the Plant Manager, Operations, Corporate, and HR teams to support shipping and receiving, inventory, labor reporting, and daily administrative workflows. You will work in an environment that includes: Heavy industrial materials and freight products Forklift and heavy equipment traffic Moderate to high warehouse noise Outdoor dock and loading areas Sawdust, wood debris, and dust at times This role is a great fit for someone who thrives in a hands-on warehouse admin environment. This is an active administrative role, not a stationary desk position. You will be expected to periodically walk the warehouse floor to support accurate inventory counts and verify operational activity as needed. Key Responsibilities Shipping, Receiving & Logistics Support Coordinate all inbound and outbound shipments of materials and freight Assist drivers, sign bills of lading, and manage shipping paperwork Maintain accurate shipping, receiving, and inventory logs Work with production and forklift operators to route materials and track workflow Warehouse Administrative & Office Functions Manage timecard reviews, corrections, and daily attendance tracking Prepare daily and weekly labor reports for Operations and Corporate teams Support HR processes including orientation scheduling, new hire paperwork, and basic employee documentation Maintain inventory counts for materials and supplies Handle data entry, recordkeeping, scheduling, and general administrative tasks Communication & Coordination Serve as the administrative point of contact for onsite management, corporate teams, drivers, and customers Ensure timely updates to customer inventory reports and shipping documentation What You'll Need 3+ years of experience in operations administration, warehouse administration, logistics coordination, or HR administration Strong working knowledge of shipping/receiving paperwork, timekeeping systems, or inventory control Associate degree preferred but not required Strong written and verbal communication skills Comfortable working in a warehouse setting and interacting with drivers and production staff Ability to multitask and manage fast-moving operations Physical Requirements Warehouse environment with forklifts and moving equipment Moderate noise levels Ability to walk the warehouse floor and lift up to 25-40 lbs occasionally PPE required (safety shoes, vests, and glasses as needed) Work Environment This position operates primarily in a professional office environment with moderate noise levels. Occasional interaction with operational or warehouse environments may be required.
