Warehouse & Operations Associate — Music Wholesale

About Us Noise To Go is a music wholesale distributor supplying independent record stores across the U.S. We are part of a broader music and retail group that includes Cheapo Records in Cambridge, MA. Our South Easton warehouse is where the wholesale operation runs: receiving inbound shipments from suppliers around the world, managing inventory, and getting orders out to record stores quickly, accurately, and in good condition. The Role We are hiring a Warehouse & Operations Associate to join our wholesale team. This is a hands-on operations role focused on three core areas: Receiving inbound shipments of vinyl records and CDs Entering and maintaining accurate inventory data Picking, packing, and shipping outbound wholesale orders The person who succeeds in this role will enjoy working around music and physical media, but will get real satisfaction from the operational side of the business: accurate inventory, organized shelves, well-packed orders, and work completed properly. You'll work as part of a small wholesale operations team, with clear daily priorities and established workflows. This role requires someone who can stay organized, follow through on assigned tasks, and communicate clearly when something needs attention. What You'll Do Receive inbound shipments, including pallets of vinyl records from domestic and international suppliers. Verify counts against packing lists, inspect for visible damage, and enter receipts accurately into our inventory system. Enter and maintain product data, including SKUs, titles, artists, formats, pricing, and stock levels. Accuracy matters. A small data-entry mistake can create problems across sales, inventory, fulfillment, and customer service. Pick and pack outbound orders for record stores. Vinyl is fragile, heavy, and condition-sensitive. Orders need to be pulled correctly and packed properly every time. Keep the warehouse organized. Know where product belongs, return items to the correct locations, label clearly, and flag inventory issues before they become bigger problems. Help maintain a clean, efficient, and professional warehouse environment. Communicate clearly with the team about what came in, what went out, what is incomplete, and what needs follow-up. What We're Looking For General familiarity with music and vinyl records would be helpful. A finisher mentality. You like working through a queue, closing out tasks, and ending the day with things done. Repetitive work does not bother you when the work matters and is done well. Strong attention to detail, especially with data entry, inventory accuracy, SKUs, artist/title information, and order fulfillment. The ability to balance accuracy and pace. We need work done correctly, but we also need orders and receiving completed on schedule. Comfort working independently once priorities are clear, with the judgment to know when something can be handled directly and when it needs to be escalated. Physical capability for warehouse work, including lifting boxes of records weighing 40-50 lbs, being on your feet for much of the day, and moving pallets with a pallet jack. Vinyl is heavier than people expect. Reliable transportation to South Easton, MA each workday. This is an on-site role at our warehouse and requires the ability to consistently get to and from South Easton for scheduled shifts. Basic computer literacy. We use Shopify and standard business software. Training will be provided on our specific systems. What Would Be a Plus Prior warehouse, fulfillment, shipping/receiving, or retail operations experience. Experience in music in any professional capacity, including record stores, venues, radio, live sound, touring, music education, music journalism, or similar. Experience with Shopify, inventory management systems, B2B order processing, or wholesale operations. Experience packing fragile or condition-sensitive products. Compensation & Schedule Full-time, Monday through Friday, day shift.

Compensation:

$22-$25/hour, depending on experience. Benefits and additional details to be discussed during the hiring process. Growth Potential For the right person, this role can grow into increased responsibility in warehouse operations, inventory control, fulfillment management, sales support, or production coordination. The first priority, however, is mastering the operational fundamentals: receiving, inventory accuracy, warehouse organization, and order fulfillment.
