Job Description

Primary Purpose:
The Warehouse & Delivery Driver is responsible for supporting daily warehouse operations, customer product fulfillment, inventory handling, equipment operation, and delivery services for United Ag locations. This role ensures customers receive accurate, timely, and high-quality service while maintaining safe, clean, and efficient warehouse operations. This position plays an important role in supporting agricultural producers, homeowners, and retail customers by ensuring products are properly received, stored, loaded, and delivered while maintaining United Ag's operational standards and customer service expectations. Customer Service & Product Fulfillment Assist customers by accurately loading purchased products based on sales tickets or delivery documentation. Ensure all products loaded for customers are accurate, undamaged, and meet quality expectations. Provide professional and courteous customer service during customer pickups and deliveries. Assist customers with product questions by directing them to appropriate store personnel when needed. Shipping, Receiving & Inventory Support Unload incoming shipments of feed, merchandise, and agricultural products in a timely manner. Inspect incoming deliveries for damages, shortages, or discrepancies and report concerns to management. Properly organize and store inventory to maintain product accessibility and warehouse efficiency. Assist with physical inventory counts, cycle counts, and loss prevention efforts. Support inventory transfers between United Ag locations when needed. Warehouse Operations & Facility Maintenance Maintain clean, organized, and safe warehouse, yard, and outdoor storage areas. Ensure products are stored properly to prevent damage, spoilage, or safety hazards. Support general facility upkeep to maintain a professional appearance for customers and employees. Follow all safety procedures related to warehouse operations and equipment use Delivery & Equipment Operations Operate company vehicles to deliver products safely and efficiently to customers and operational locations. Load molasses tanks and ensure proper weighing procedures are completed accurately. Operate forklifts, tractors, trailers, and other equipment safely and responsibly. Conduct routine inspections and complete maintenance checklists for delivery vehicles and equipment. Immediately report maintenance issues, accidents, or operational concerns to management Bulk Feeder Maintenance Maintain bulk feeders by performing repairs and upkeep, including: Tire replacements Washing and cleaning Bearing replacements Painting Basic repairs and patchwork Ensure feeders remain functional, safe, and customer-ready Team Support & Flexibility Assist store leadership and team members during busy seasons and operational demands. Support other United Ag locations when additional staffing or delivery assistance is needed. Perform additional duties assigned by leadership Qualifications Education & Experience High school diploma or equivalent preferred Previous warehouse, agricultural, delivery, or equipment experience preferred Skills & Abilities Strong attention to detail and accuracy Basic math skills including weights, measurements, and inventory calculations Ability to communicate professionally with customers and team members Strong problem-solving skills Dependable and safety-focused mindset Certifications/Licensing Valid driver's license required Forklift certification preferred (or ability to obtain certification) CDL preferred depending on delivery responsibilities Physical & Work Environment Requirements Ability to stand, bend, lift, and move throughout the workday Frequently lift and move products weighing up to 100 pounds Ability to work indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions Ability to safely operate heavy equipment and delivery vehicles Ability to work extended hours during peak agricultural seasons when needed The work environment characteristics and physical demands described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job. The position requires extreme temperatures, ability to climb ladders, inspect equipment, enter operation areas, lifting up to 50 lbs, extending hours during harvest, dust and noise exposure, outdoor/ag facility conditions. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color vision, and the ability to adjust focus. Work involves everyday risks and discomforts which require normal safety precautions when operating equipment or performing job duties. May work prolonged or irregular hours and must be able to maintain emotional control under stress.
