Contract / Full-Time Position Summary We are seeking an experienced Warehouse Supervisor to support warehouse and distribution operations within a fast-paced manufacturing environment in Belleville, MI. This role is responsible for leading hourly employees, driving operational efficiency, supporting safety and quality initiatives, and ensuring daily business objectives are achieved. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership skills, experience working in warehouse or manufacturing operations, and the ability to effectively manage employee performance, workflow planning, and continuous improvement activities across multiple shifts. Key Responsibilities Supervise and support hourly warehouse employees in daily operations Counsel employees regarding workplace concerns, attendance, performance, and operational needs Reinforce positive employee behaviors and address performance issues appropriately Utilize Quality Network problem-solving methodologies to identify and resolve operational issues Engage employees in continuous improvement initiatives and operational feedback opportunities Apply Workplace Organization (WPO) principles to improve workflow efficiency, organization, and layout optimization Maintain accurate payroll and attendance processing through daily Timekeeping System (TKS) updates Document problem-solving activities using A-3 reporting processes and guidelines Conduct daily team meetings focused on safety, quality, productivity, and business performance Perform and document weekly safety observation tours within assigned departments Plan and coordinate daily staffing and workload requirements Collaborate with fellow supervisors and leadership teams to optimize overall shift performance Ensure compliance with national and local contractual requirements Enforce company policies, procedures, and shop rules consistently Conduct daily Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) audit checks Participate in Individual Development Plan (IDP) activities to support ongoing leadership development Maintain communication with leadership regarding operational concerns, pending activities, and department updates Required Qualifications High school diploma or GED required Previous supervisory experience in warehouse, manufacturing, distribution, or logistics environments Experience leading hourly employees in a fast-paced operational setting Ability to support both 1st and 2nd shift operational needs Strong problem-solving and organizational skills Experience with safety programs, process audits, and continuous improvement initiatives Proficiency with timekeeping, scheduling, and workforce management systems Preferred Qualifications Experience within automotive manufacturing or large-scale warehouse operations Familiarity with: A-3 problem solving Workplace Organization (WPO) Quality Network processes SOP auditing Experience working in unionized environments Associate's degree, technical training, or equivalent operational leadership experience preferred Required Skills Strong leadership and interpersonal communication skills Ability to motivate and manage employee performance effectively Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities Effective written and verbal communication skills Ability to prioritize tasks and manage changing operational demands Knowledge of warehouse operations, quality processes, and safety procedures Ability to work collaboratively across multiple departments and shifts Work Environment Fast-paced warehouse and manufacturing environment Frequent walking, standing, and interaction with warehouse personnel Must be comfortable supporting varying operational schedules based on business needs Why Join This Opportunity?
