Warehouse Supervisor - 2nd Shift

We are currently recruiting for our distribution center in Winder, Georgia for a Warehouse Supervisor.

Summary :

Warehouse Supervisor supervises daily planning, organizing, and operations of a distribution center area reporting to the General Warehouse Manager.

Essential Functions :

To perform the job successfully, an individual should demonstrate the following essential functions of this position: Supervises one or more of the distribution center functions including order processing, picking, packaging, shipping, returns and receiving. Monitors the inventory levels to ensure accuracy and sufficient levels to fulfill all orders. Balances workloads as needed to achieve production and delivery goals for each shift. Coordinates daily workflow with other supervisors and managers. Utilizes warehouse software, data, and analytics to optimize operations, track production metrics, and anticipate and resolve problems. Provides necessary equipment, tools, and training to staff to ensure safe, secure, and efficient operations. Reviews production requirements and assigns employees to the correct work area. Complies with all OSHA and other regulations, policies, safety procedures, and documentation requirements. Such as accidents and near miss reporting and investigations. Ensures the work areas are appropriately maintained and corrects any unsafe conditions immediately. Contributes to the development of processes and procedures. Conducts employee performance reviews, career counseling, development and disciplinary actions by policies. Makes employee decisions including interview, selection and retention of employees. Develops positive work environment by recognition and by resolving employee issues through problem solving. Conducts employee team meetings. Works in all areas of the operation. Works flexible schedules as required which may include working off shifts and weekend. Promotes accurate, timely communication up and down the organization to ensure priority issues are addressed. Sets an example to co-workers.

Qualifications :

Requires an associate degree or three (3) years warehouse leadership experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience may be substituted. Proficient in the use of Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel. Proficient in oral and written communication. Minimum of three (3) years of experience utilizing a warehouse management system (WMS).
