Job Title:
Warehouse Worker Job Description The Warehouse Worker supports daily warehouse operations by safely handling, storing, and distributing chemical products, equipment, and supplies. This role involves loading and unloading trucks, preparing and verifying orders, maintaining accurate inventory, and ensuring the warehouse remains organized and safe. The position requires local travel, a valid Class B driver's license, and the ability to work some evenings and weekends while collaborating closely with technicians, drivers, and other team members. Responsibilities Load and unload chemical products, equipment, and supplies from delivery trucks in a safe and efficient manner. Pull, stage, and prepare customer and technician orders accurately and on time. Verify incoming shipments against packing slips and promptly report any discrepancies or damages. Safely handle and store chemical products in accordance with company procedures, safety regulations, and hazardous material guidelines. Maintain an organized warehouse, including proper use of shelving, pallets, and designated storage areas. Rotate stock to ensure proper product usage and assist with regular inventory counts and tracking. Operate warehouse equipment such as sit-down forklifts and pallet jacks when certified or trained. Use RF scanners or similar devices to support order picking, inventory control, and material tracking. Keep the warehouse clean, orderly, and free of safety hazards at all times. Follow all safety, environmental, and hazardous material handling guidelines and policies. Travel locally as needed to support deliveries, pickups, or other warehouse-related activities. Collaborate with team members and technicians while also working independently to complete assigned tasks. Communicate clearly in writing and verbally to coordinate orders, report issues, and document activities. Essential Skills Valid Class B commercial driver's license (CDL B) in accordance with company policy. Willingness to earn a CDL or additional endorsements if needed. Sit-down forklift experience with the ability to operate warehouse equipment safely. Ability to lift up to 70 lbs on a regular basis. Strong organizational skills to manage multiple tasks, orders, and inventory effectively. Strong written and oral communication skills for coordinating with team members and documenting activities. Motivated, self-starter attitude with the ability to work independently and as part of a team. Ability and willingness to work some evenings and weekends as required. Ability to travel locally as part of the role. Knowledge of material handling, order picking, packing, and inventory processes. Additional Skills & Qualifications Hazmat and Tanker endorsement on CDL is preferred but not required. Experience using RF scanners or similar technology for inventory and order management. Experience with chemical product handling and storage is an advantage. Familiarity with safety, environmental, and hazardous material handling guidelines. Previous experience in a warehouse, distribution, or logistics environment. Comfort working with pallet jacks and other standard warehouse equipment when trained or certified. Why Work Here? The schedule may include some evenings and weekends, and local travel is part of the role. The warehouse is kept organized, clean, and free of safety hazards, with clearly defined storage areas, shelving, and pallets to support efficient operations. Appropriate work attire that supports safety and comfort in a warehouse and material-handling setting is expected. Job Type & Location This is a Permanent position based out of Hudsonville, MI.
