Warehouse Worker Job Description Join a fast-paced logistics team as a Warehouse Worker, where you will handle inventory, support shipping and receiving operations, and help maintain a clean, organized, and safe warehouse. You will work with warehouse management systems and material handling equipment to ensure accurate order fulfillment and efficient inventory control. Responsibilities Receive, inspect, and store incoming shipments in accordance with established procedures. Pick, pack, and prepare customer orders for delivery or pickup with a high level of accuracy. Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other warehouse equipment safely and efficiently. Maintain accurate inventory records using warehouse management systems (WMS). Perform regular cycle counts and assist with periodic inventory audits. Label, organize, and stage stock according to company standards and storage guidelines. Keep the warehouse clean, organized, and compliant with all safety regulations. Report damaged, missing, or incorrect inventory promptly to supervisors. Collaborate with team members to meet and exceed daily productivity and quality goals. Essential Skills 2+ years of warehouse experience in a fast-paced environment. Hands-on experience in logistics, warehouse operations, or material handling. Knowledge of inventory control practices, including cycle counts and stock rotation. Experience with shipping and receiving processes. Ability to safely operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment. Familiarity with warehouse management systems (WMS) or similar inventory software. Ability to work 2nd shift (3:30 p.m. to 2:00 a.m., Monday through Thursday). Willingness to work additional hours and some weekends when necessary. Strong attention to detail and accuracy in handling inventory and orders. Ability to follow safety procedures and maintain a safe work environment. Additional Skills & Qualifications Previous experience in inventory or shipping/receiving roles is a plus. Prior forklift experience is a plus. Experience in toolroom or specialized inventory environments is beneficial. Strong teamwork and communication skills to collaborate effectively with colleagues. You will primarily work on 2nd shift from 3:30 p.m. to 2:00 a.m., Monday through Thursday, with the need to be available for additional hours and some weekend work as business needs arise. The setting is fast-paced and safety-focused, with a strong emphasis on maintaining a clean, organized, and compliant facility. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Guntersville, AL. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $22.00/hr.
