Responsibilities Safely operate various types of forklifts including reach trucks, clamp trucks, Hi-Lo forklifts, and pallet jacks to load, unload, and transport materials across the warehouse. Conduct routine inspections and basic repairs on heavy equipment to ensure optimal performance and safety compliance. Assist with order picking using specialized equipment such as pickers and order picker machines to fulfill customer orders accurately and efficiently. Manage shipping and receiving tasks by verifying inbound and outbound shipments, ensuring proper documentation, and maintaining accurate records within the warehouse management system (WMS). Support warehouse distribution activities by organizing inventory, stacking pallets, and maintaining a clean, safe workspace following OSHA standards. Collaborate with warehouse supervisors to coordinate materials handling activities, optimize storage solutions, and improve overall warehouse operations. Perform heavy lifting tasks as needed while adhering to safety protocols for materials handling and equipment operation. Skills Proven experience operating heavy equipment such as reach trucks, clamp trucks, Hi-Lo forklifts, and pallet jacks in a warehouse environment. Strong knowledge of warehouse management systems (WMS) for inventory tracking and order processing. Mechanical aptitude with the ability to perform basic equipment repairs and troubleshooting. Familiarity with OSHA safety standards related to forklift operation, materials handling, shipping & receiving procedures. Excellent physical stamina for heavy lifting and prolonged standing or walking throughout shifts. Basic math skills for inventory counts, measurements, and documentation accuracy. Effective communication skills to coordinate with team members and supervisors in a fast-paced setting.
