Warehouse/Driver Associate

Position Overview:

The Warehouse Driver Team Member is responsible for the delivery, storage and movement of ingredients and packaging raw materials as well as finished goods. Production and/or packaging of a variety of manufactured products.

This position has two clients:

Internal as production support and external for customer order fulfillment. Maintenance of warehouse and grounds is also included in this role.

Responsibilities:

Deliver on requested times and dates. Load, deliver, and unload products to area customers. Maintain daily paperwork, inventory readings and lot codes. Use FIFO as inventory rotation method. Perform production duties such as manual lifting, packaging, taping, labeling, wrapping loading and un-loading operations and sorting. Move product and inventory using a forklift and power jack. Report defective materials or questionable conditions to the department supervisor. Execute and document quality inspections per SOP. Maintain the work area and equipment in a clean and orderly condition and follow specified company safety regulations. Warehouse maintenance, (i.e., cleaning) Work with QA personnel to ensure safety, quality, and legality of all food products. Responsible for reporting food safety and quality issues to a person with responsibility to initiate action. Repair shipping pallets to company specification as directed. Perform additional duties/projects assigned by manager or supervisor.

Requirements:

Work hours needed can be days and/or nights. Understand and follow basic verbal and written instructions from manager. Effectively communicate information and respond to questions from various levels within the organization. Bilingual in both English and Spanish (preferred). Possess a valid driver's license with a clean driving record.

Possess basic mathematical skills:

addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division. Perform basic visual quality inspections on products. Maintain the pace of other team members. Utilize various equipment as needed to perform duties.

Physical Demands:

May be required to stand for long periods of time. May involve some repetitive motions. Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds. May also engage in frequent bending, stooping, squatting, pushing, and pulling of parts and part containers. Due to the open environment of the warehouse, must be able to work in various weather and temperature conditions to include extreme heat, humidity and cold. Will be required to perform other duties as requested, directed, or assigned by manager or supervisor.
