Wastewater Treatment/Collection Operator

Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Wastewater Operator to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the operation and maintenance of wastewater treatment facilities, ensuring compliance with environmental regulations and standards. This role requires a strong mechanical aptitude, attention to detail, and the ability to analyze data effectively. Responsibilities Operate and monitor wastewater treatment processes to ensure optimal performance. Collect and analyze data related to water quality and treatment efficiency. Perform routine maintenance and repair on equipment, including pumps, valves, and tanks. Utilize mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot issues with machinery and systems. Operate heavy equipment as needed for maintenance and operational tasks. Maintain accurate records of operations, maintenance activities, and compliance reports. Work with logic controllers and distributed control systems to monitor system performance. Ensure adherence to safety protocols and environmental regulations at all times. Qualifications Proven experience in wastewater treatment operations or a related field is preferred. Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to perform equipment repair and maintenance tasks. Proficiency in data collection and analysis techniques relevant to wastewater operations. Familiarity with tanker operations is a plus. Basic math skills for calculations related to chemical dosing and flow rates. Ability to operate heavy equipment safely and efficiently. Strong problem-solving skills with a logical approach to troubleshooting issues.
