Job Description

Trabuco Canyon Water District, California Water Operator II Under the direction of the Water Superintendent, the Water Operator II at the Trabuco Canyon Water District plays a key role in ensuring the safe, reliable, and efficient delivery of drinking water to the community. This position is responsible for operating, monitoring, and maintaining the District's water treatment facilities, pump stations, reservoirs, and distribution systems. Water Operators perform a variety of hands-on and technical duties, including monitoring treatment processes, adjusting system operations to meet water quality and demand requirements, and conducting routine facility inspections. The role also involves working with treatment chemicals, maintaining operational logs, performing preventive maintenance, and responding to system needs and emergencies as they arise. This position requires strong attention to detail, a commitment to safety, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team. Water Operators contribute directly to protecting public health and ensuring regulatory compliance, while supporting the District's mission to provide high-quality, dependable water service. They are comfortable working outdoors in varying conditions, performing physical tasks, and participating in standby, overtime, and emergency response as needed.
Education & Certification :
Graduation from high school or equivalent
License :
