Job Description

Job Summary:
The Manufacturing Water Spider plays a crucial role in the production process, ensuring the smooth flow of materials and information throughout the manufacturing environment. This position is responsible for supporting production teams by delivering necessary supplies, managing inventory, and assisting in maintaining an organized workspace. The Water Spider acts as a liaison between various departments to optimize efficiency and minimize downtime. Learn more at www.steelobrien.com.
Key Responsibilities:
Material Handling:
Efficiently transport materials and tools to and from production lines to ensure seamless operations.
Inventory Management:
Monitor stock levels of supplies and communicate needs to the inventory team to prevent shortages.
Organization:
Maintain a clean and organized work environment, ensuring that all materials are easily accessible and properly stored.
Support Production Teams:
Assist operators and other team members with tasks as needed, including minor adjustments to equipment or processes.
Communication:
Act as a point of contact for production teams, addressing any issues related to material availability or workflow.
Safety Compliance:
Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines to ensure a safe working environment for all team members.
Continuous Improvement:
Participate in lean initiatives and suggest improvements to enhance workflow and efficiency.

High school diploma or equivalent; additional technical training is a plus. Previous experience in a manufacturing or warehouse environment preferred. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. Ability to lift and carry heavy materials as needed. Excellent communication and teamwork skills. Basic knowledge of safety procedures and practices in a manufacturing setting. Proficiency in using basic tools and equipment.
Working Conditions:
Fast-paced manufacturing environment. Requires standing, walking, and lifting for extended periods. May involve exposure to noise and varying temperatures. Occasional lifting up to 50 lbs.
Attendance Requirements:
Attendance on a regular, consistent basis is mandatory.

Salary Range:
$19-$22/hour, depending upon experience
