The role supports daily locker room operations, shoe services, member relations, and overall facility excellence during the main season (April-November) with off-season responsibilities shifting to F&B, Valet, Housekeeping, or other areas assigned by the Clubhouse Manager. The Locker Room Manager is far more than a maintenance position — it is one of the most visible and impactful hospitality roles in the club. This individual directly shapes how members and guests feel about their time here, from the moment they arrive to the moment they leave. Requirements Knowledge:
Familiarity with golf culture and etiquette is highly preferred.
Interpersonal Skills:
Exceptional communication skills with the ability to exercise discretion and maintain confidentiality.
Physical Requirements:
Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 30 lbs. (e.g., laundry bags or beverage crates). Responsibilities Greet members and guests warmly, cultivating a comfortable, high-touch environment. Provide outstanding customer service to all members and guests, ensuring consistently exceptional experience. Oversee the Shoe Service program, including cleaning, polishing, and spike replacement for golf and street shoes. Serve as a club concierge by providing accurate information regarding daily club events, tournament schedules, and course conditions. Maintain and manage the Member Locker List and coordinate locker assignments and turnover. Learn and operate the Trackman Golf Simulator. Develop a thorough understanding of club operations and uphold the standards expected of a high-end private club. Always maintain a professional appearance, including proper uniform and grooming standards. Execute daily operational duties in accordance with scheduling and coverage needs. Take responsibility and ensure each shift is properly prepared for the next team member. Communicate clearly, concisely, and professionally. Demonstrate strong listening skills and a team-first mindset. Perform all duties in accordance with established training and service standards. Maintain a strong working knowledge of all golf programs and daily activities. Coordinate with Maintenance and Housekeeping to ensure all facilities and equipment remain in excellent condition. Assist in other Club areas during peak times.
Winter/Closing Tasks Deep Cleaning:
Oversee comprehensive cleaning of all lockers, showers, and lounge areas.
Locker Audits:
Clean lockers, ensure all personal items are stored properly.
Inventory & Purchasing:
Inventory remaining supplies (linens, amenities) and prepare budget for the upcoming season.
Maintenance Coordination:
Work with club management to coordinate repairs, painting, or renovations of the locker room facility.
Administrative Reporting:
Prepare a report for the Board/General Manager regarding the season's operations, member feedback, and suggestions for improvement. Qualifications Minimum 2-3 years of experience in hospitality, private clubs, or luxury service. Strong interpersonal skills; natural ability to engage members and guests.
