Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Weekend Morning Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to join our caregiving team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong commitment to patient care, excellent communication skills, and experience working with diverse populations, including seniors and individuals with developmental disabilities. As a Weekend AM CNA, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality support and ensuring the comfort and safety of our residents during morning shifts. Duties Assist residents with activities of daily living such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support using equipment like Hoyer lifts. Monitor and record vital signs, including blood pressure, pulse, temperature, and respiration rates, accurately documenting all patient information in electronic health records (EHR) systems. Provide compassionate care for residents with memory impairments such as Alzheimer's disease or dementia, ensuring their safety and emotional well-being. Support medication administration under supervision, following strict aseptic techniques and HIPAA regulations to maintain confidentiality. Collaborate with nursing staff to identify resident needs and report any changes in condition promptly. Maintain a clean, safe environment by adhering to infection control protocols and sanitation standards. Engage residents in meaningful activities that promote mental stimulation and social interaction aligned with their care plans. Experience Prior experience as a CNA or in a similar caregiving role within long-term care facilities such as assisted living or nursing homes. Familiarity with EMR/EHR systems such as Epic or eClinicalWorks for documentation purposes. Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities or behavioral health needs is highly desirable. Knowledge of medical terminology, vital signs monitoring, catheter care, and basic life support (BLS). Exposure to various healthcare settings including hospitals—particularly ICU or trauma centers—and outpatient clinics is advantageous. Demonstrated ability to provide person-centered care in fast-paced environments such as emergency medicine or urgent care settings. Strong understanding of infection control practices, aseptic techniques, and geriatrics-focused caregiving strategies.
