Weekend Manager of Retail Operations Organization Description:
A comprehensive mental health and social service organization dedicated to strengthening the social and emotional well-being of individuals and families through accessible, affordable mental health counseling and social service programs.Position Overview:
The Weekend Manager of Retail Operations provides support to the Director of Retail Operations with the daily operations of The Shop. The Shop Associate will assist with managing the entire shop including the supervision of volunteers, managing donation intake, managing the cash register, and ensuring store cleanliness and efficient staging and pricing of merchandise. This position is a hands-on job that includes physical labor (must be able to lift 25 lbs.), sorting, marking, displaying, cashiering, and cleaning. The Weekend Manager ensures all retail operations align with the mission, values, and customer care philosophy of NFSB, achieves strategic goals and meets COA accreditation and other industry standards. This position does not have direct oversight of any positions within the organization.Reports to:

Exempt Key Responsibilities of the weekendManager of Retail Operations:
Strategic Planning and Development:
Assist Director with Implementing store policies and procedures, ensuring compliance with organizational standards and local regulations. Works with the Director to regularly review and recommend changes in services to meet customer and business needs. Store Management Ensure stores are clean, organized and well-stocked. Manage opening and closing procedures, ensuring security and operational protocols are followed. Assists the Director with monitoring store performance metrics, including sales targets, customer satisfaction, and inventory turnover. Implement and manage the Point of Sale (POS) system and assist Director with developing online sales channels. Inventory Management Assists with oversight of the receiving, sorting, pricing, and display of donated goods. Assists with managing inventory levels, ensuring diverse and appealing product selection. Coordinate and maintain a steady flow of high-quality donations. Assist Director with Implementing strategies for inventory control and waste reduction.Budget Management:
Oversee the financial aspects of operations in the absence of the Director of Retail Operations. Assists with managing retail budgets, tracking expenditures, and securing funding, including sales forecasts, expense control and profit margins. Maintain accurate financial records, oversee cash handling and deposit procedures.Staff Management:
Assists Director with hiring, training, supervising, and evaluating program volunteers. Assists in developing volunteer schedules, ensuring adequate coverage during all business hours. Foster a positive and productive work environment, promoting teamwork and professional development. Marketing and Community Engagement Plan and coordinate promotional events and sales to increase store traffic and revenue.Stakeholder Communication:
Ensures high levels of customer satisfaction through excellent service and prompt resolution of issues. Assists Director with developing and implementing customer service policies, training staff, volunteers and interns to adhere to these standards. Address customer complaints and concerns in a professional and timely manner.Evaluation and Reporting:
Supports Director in monitoring program performance, evaluating outcomes, and preparing reports.Compliance:
Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations. Address safety concerns promptly, maintaining a safe shopping and working environment. Identify and mitigate potential risks associated with program implementation.Qualifications:
High school diploma. Professional proficiency in Spanish Required Prior experience in retail sales preferred, or experience that enables an individual to effectively manage, oversee and operate a store, effectively interact, work with and supervise volunteers participating in the store's day-to-day operations. Strong customer service skills. A strong team player with the ability to plan, whether working with staff, or scheduling volunteers. Well organized, with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment. Strong written and oral communication skills. Proficient in computer skills, especially using Clover POS, Outlook, Word, Excel, and custom databases. Commitment to maintain confidentiality. Understanding the organization's mission and culture with the ability to maintain appropriate boundaries with staff, volunteers, and customers in all circumstances. Awareness and sensitivity to the cultures represented by the organization. Good inter-personal skills, ability to relate well with people from a variety of backgrounds in socioeconomic and cultural groups.Pay:
