Dependable? Do you have experience working with special needs children, teens or adults, especially those with cognitive impairment or autism? We're looking for someone special to work with our super cute 18-year-old special needs daughter on weekends at our home in West Bloomfield. She is mobile (and fun!) but nonverbal and needs help with all daily care, including feeding and toileting. Our daughter was born with a rare genetic condition that affects her growth. She's about the size of 7-8 year old child. CPR/First Aid and Bloodborne-Pathogen training is required, though training could be provided. Easterseals/MORC certification is a big plus. The pay is $22-25 an hour, depending on experience. Taxes will be taken out. Candidates must provide their own transportation and MUST be able to lift a 70-pound child. No smoking on the job. This a great opportunity for a paraprofessional looking for more hours.
