Job Description
We are seeking a compassionate and dependable Weekend Registered Nurse (RN) to join our skilled nursing facility team. The Weekend RN is responsible for providing high-quality nursing care to residents, and ensuring compliance with healthcare regulations and facility policies. The ideal candidate is patient-focused, organized, and committed to promoting resident health, safety, and dignity. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Provide direct nursing care to residents in accordance with physician orders, care plans, and state/federal regulations. Assess residents' physical, emotional, and mental health status and document findings accurately. Administer medications, treatments, and IV therapy as prescribed. Monitor residents for changes in condition and promptly communicate concerns to physicians and family members. Support Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs) and Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs). Respond appropriately to emergencies and resident incidents. Maintain accurate and timely documentation in electronic medical records (EMR). Ensure infection control and safety procedures are followed at all times. Participate in shift reports, care conferences, and interdisciplinary team meetings as needed. Provide compassionate support and education to residents and their families. Assist in maintaining compliance with state, federal, and facility standards. Qualifications Current and active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of
LA. CPR/BLS
certification required. Previous long-term care or skilled nursing experience preferred. Strong clinical assessment and critical-thinking skills. Excellent communication and leadership abilities. Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities. Compassionate, dependable, and resident-centered approach to care. Physical Requirements Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift residents or equipment as needed. Ability to work in a fast-paced healthcare environment. Must be able to respond quickly in emergency situations.
