Weigh Scale Operator

Overview The successful candidate will be responsible for weigh scale operations, which includes weighing trucks, data entry, answering phones, and communicating with customers and quarry staff. The ideal candidate will have prior experience with weigh scale operations. The candidate must have basic computer skills, math skills, and customer service skills. Twin State Sand & Gravel and its sister company, Blaktop, are local, family run businesses that have been in operation for over 70 years. This is an excellent opportunity to find a home at a company that puts family values first. Job is seasonal , typically mid-April thru Thanksgiving. Duties & Responsibilities Weigh trucks on the truck scale. Data entry and printing weigh scale tickets. Communicate with quarry staff over the CB radio and phone. Answer phone calls and direct calls. Answer customer questions / direct customers to someone who can answer their questions. Communicate with staff at the main office. Assist with dispatching trucks for deliveries. Daily tracking of sales by customer. Sign in visitors to the quarry. Arrive 15 minutes prior to scheduled office hours to open the scale house. Other duties as assigned. Qualifications Customer service skills. Basic computer skills. Basic math skills. Good verbal and written communication skills. Experience with Libra software preferred. Ability to work independently. Ability to climb stairs. Ability to appropriately deal with the different personalities found in the construction industry Work Environment Scale house / job trailer located at a quarry.

Work schedule:

Scale hours are 7:00am - 4:30pm Monday thru Friday. Saturdays may be required on occasion.
