- Valley Design Enterprises, located in Fountain, MN, is a locally owned manufacturer that has been designing, building, and supplying table base components for over 35 years. Our mission is to create career opportunities, support our community, and manufacture quality products. Welder We are currently hiring for a MIG/TIG welder within our fabrication operations. Pervious MIG/TIG welding experince needed.

Position Overview:

Responsibilities vary but may include a combination of the following: Works from route sheet, blueprints, work list and/or verbal instructions, determines and verifies jobs and operations to be completed and material to be used. Completes all steps required in the welding process according to established standards in a manner which meets or exceeds production standards. Determines appropriate work center and fixture (via route sheet) to be used for particular welding operations. Reviews blueprint for type, dimension, placement and number of welds to be made. Sets up equipment (via blueprint) with appropriate clamps, brackets, spacers or blocks and determines appropriate welding equipment levels (wire speed) to perform operation. Reports all items needing corrective action to supervisor or lead person (i.e. DWG errors, tool problems, equipment problems, route sheets, material problems and part counts).

What We're Looking For:

2 or more years of Mig and Tig welding experience. Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and weld symbols. Demonstrated mechanical/ mathematical aptitude.
