  • Full-time Overview We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Welder specializing in MIG (Metal Inert Gas) welding to join our manufacturing and construction teams.
This role involves fabricating, assembling, and repairing metal components with precision and adherence to safety standards. The ideal candidate will possess extensive experience working on construction sites, reading blueprints, and utilizing various hand and power tools. This position offers an opportunity to contribute to high-quality projects across diverse industries, ensuring structural integrity and durability. Key responsibilities include interpreting technical schematics, performing MIG welding with accuracy, handling sheet metal fabrication, and supporting assembly operations. Candidates should demonstrate mechanical aptitude, familiarity with ASME codes and standards, and the ability to operate related machinery such as press brake machines and plasma cutters. Your expertise will help ensure that all welds meet stringent quality standards while maintaining a safe work environment. Responsibilities Perform MIG welding on various metal components, ensuring compliance with project specifications and safety protocols. Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to guide fabrication and assembly processes. Use hand tools, power tools, calipers, micrometers, and other measuring instruments to ensure precise dimensions. Support fabrication tasks involving sheet metal cutting, plasma cutting, pipe threading, and assembly of structural elements. Operate machinery such as press brake machines, plasma cutters, and welding equipment in accordance with safety standards. Conduct quality inspections of welds using calipers, micrometers, and visual assessments to verify integrity. Assist in rigging operations for lifting heavy components with cranes or forklifts as needed. Maintain a clean and organized work environment while adhering to OSHA regulations. Collaborate with team members on complex projects involving ductwork, piping systems, or mechanical assemblies. Support fabrication of components following ASME codes & standards for pressure vessels or piping systems. Experience Proven experience working on construction sites or manufacturing facilities involving structural steel or sheet metal fabrication. Extensive knowledge of MIG welding techniques; familiarity with FCAW (Flux-Cored Arc Welding) is a plus. Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings accurately. Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, plasma cutters, press brake machines, and other fabrication equipment. Mechanical knowledge related to rigging, pipe threading, soldering, machining, and assembly processes. Familiarity with ASME codes & standards applicable to pressure vessels or piping systems. Basic math skills for measurements and calculations involved in fabrication tasks. Experience operating forklifts or other material handling equipment is advantageous. Knowledge of construction safety practices including the use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
