Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Welder specializing in MIG (Metal Inert Gas) welding to join our manufacturing and construction teams. The ideal candidate will be responsible for fabricating, assembling, and repairing metal components with precision and adherence to safety standards. This role offers an opportunity to work on diverse projects, including structural steel, ductwork, piping, and sheet metal fabrication. Candidates with construction site experience and a strong mechanical aptitude will thrive in this dynamic environment. All positions are paid roles committed to maintaining high-quality workmanship and safety compliance. Duties Perform MIG welding on various metals, including sheet metal, pipe, and structural components, following detailed blueprints and schematics. Read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and welding symbols to ensure accurate fabrication. Use hand tools, power tools, calipers, micrometers, and other measurement devices to verify dimensions and quality standards. Prepare materials by cutting with plasma cutters or press brake machines; set up welding equipment according to project specifications. Conduct quality inspections of welds using visual assessment and testing tools; ensure compliance with ASME codes & standards. Assist in fabrication tasks such as assembly, rigging, pipe threading, and mechanical installation on-site or in the workshop. Maintain a clean and safe work environment by adhering to safety protocols related to welding hazards, rigging operations, and equipment handling. Operate forklifts or other machinery as needed for material handling; support fabrication of ductwork or other large assemblies. Collaborate with team members to meet project deadlines while ensuring precision in welding and assembly tasks. Support the use of schematics for complex assemblies; troubleshoot issues related to welding or fabrication processes. Skills Proven experience in MIG welding within construction or manufacturing environments; familiarity with FCAW (Flux-Cored Arc Welding) is a plus. Strong knowledge of blueprint reading, schematics interpretation, and technical drawings. Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, plasma cutting equipment, press brake machines, and basic machining tools. Ability to perform TIG welding and <

Skilled in using calipers, micrometers, and other measurement devices for quality control. Basic math skills for measurements and calculations necessary during fabrication. Familiarity with ASME codes & standards governing welded structures; ability to follow strict quality guidelines. Ability to read blueprints accurately; interpret schematics for complex assemblies involving ductwork or piping systems. Knowledge of manufacturing processes including machining, plasma cutting, sheet metal work, and assembly tasks.
