Job Description

Position Summary We are seeking a skilled Senior Fabricator/Welder to assemble, fabricate, fit, and weld/braze tube assemblies and mechanical components for hydraulic applications. This role requires working from engineering drawings, specifications, and manufacturing procedures to produce high-quality products while supporting continuous improvement of welding processes, fixtures, and tooling. Key Responsibilities Read and interpret engineering drawings, weld symbols, BOMs, specifications, and work instructions. Measure, cut, deburr, clean, fit, align, and prepare tubing and components for welding. Perform TIG and/or MIG welding on steel, stainless steel, and other approved materials. Fabricate tube assemblies to required dimensions, tolerances, and geometric specifications. Set up and utilize fixtures, jigs, clamps, and tooling to ensure alignment and repeatability. Control weld distortion and heat input to maintain dimensional accuracy. Inspect welds using measuring and inspection tools; identify and document defects. Perform leak, pressure, and functional testing as required. Maintain welding equipment and identify issues affecting quality. Improve welding methods, tooling, fixturing, quality, safety, and productivity. Rework and repair assemblies per approved procedures. Support Manufacturing Engineering and Quality with process development, troubleshooting, and continuous improvement. Maintain inventory of welding consumables, tooling, and supplies. Follow all quality standards, safety procedures, and welding practices. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment. Qualifications Proven welding and fabrication experience; tube assembly welding preferred. Proficiency with TIG and/or MIG welding; thin-wall tubing experience preferred. Ability to read engineering drawings, weld symbols, dimensions, tolerances, and BOMs. Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications. Technical/vocational training, welding certification, and/or college degree preferred. Physical Requirements Strong manual dexterity and ability to assemble components accurately. Ability to lift up to 44 pounds. Ability to work in a manufacturing environment for extended periods
Pay:
$23.00 - $29.00 per hour
