Krain Creek Fabrication / R-Way Welder /
Fabricator Position Summary:
The Welder is responsible for various aspects of welding / fabrication. Finish grinding applications using manual and power tools. This position will operate machines to conform to standard operating procedures and the efficient use of equipment and material. In this role, the Welder / Fabricator will report to theShop Supervisor Key Responsibilities:
Perform MIG (GMAW) and FCAW welding on mild steel with accuracy and efficiency. Typical material thickness ranges from 3/16" to 3/8" depending on trailers and dump boxes. Perform cutting operations using Oxy-Fuel and Plasma Methods. Complete welding and fabrication tasks according to project specifications. Perform precision measuring and interpret fabrication drawings. Operate shop equipment including, overhead cranes, jib cranes, chain hoists, and lever hoists, forklift, etc. Communicate changes or issues to the Project Manager and Shop Supervisor. Follow all safety policies and maintain clean work areas. Communicate any questionable plans with Shop Supervisor, before proceeding. Submit timecards and required reports weekly Ensures equipment is safe, serviced, and functioning properly; report issues to the Shop Supervisor. Maintain consistent attendance and punctuality. Other duties as assigned.Job Requirements:
Knowledge of welding/fabrication materials, methods, and techniques Ability to identify additional work shown in plans/specifications Ability to read and interpret engineering plans and blueprints Ability to work independently with minimal supervision Proficiency with conventional measuring instruments Strong attention to detail and accuracy Ability to perform physical tasks including bending, lifting, and material handling Experience with finish-grinding using manual and power tools Reliable attendance and strong safety awarenessJob Qualifications:
Minimum 2+ years of MIG welding experience on mild steel Welding degree preferred, but willing to train the right candidate Proficient in welding and plasma cutting Basic understanding of metal fabrication shop practices Ability to lift 50+ lbs regularly Ability to hear, speak, and follow directions clearly Basic mechanical knowledge and skills are requiredCore Values:

Must have 2 plus years of welding experience with welding Mild Steel, and Mig/Tig. Welding Degree preferred - but we are willing to train the right candidate.
