Job Summary:

Mechanical machine builders are responsible for set up, operation, and maintenance of machinery that ensures the machine is a high-quality product for our customers.

Duties/Responsibilities:

• Own tools
• Perform housekeeping activities as needed and keep work area clean
• Learn to safely operate fork truck
• Learn to safely operate overhead cranes
• Reliable and dependable Fabricator
• Fabricate parts according to drawings
• Fabricate parts using equipment to clean, prepare, cut, burn, and weld pieces
• Verify welding results by inspecting and testing welds
• Be trained and pass all Innovative Handling safety training classes including welding and metal cutting
• Operate brake press
• Operate shear press
• Operate mill and perform slotting functions
• Ability to weld aluminum
• Ability to weld stainless steel
• Ability to perform risk safety assessments
• Basic robot jogging
• Mult-disciplined machine builder supervision and task allocation

Required Skills/Abilities:

• Must have experience in welding, mechanical assembly work, pneumatics and wiring.

Education and Experience:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• At least two years of related experience is required

Physical Requirements:

• Must be physically capable of performing manual labor tasks and able to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Must be able to stand for extended periods - 8 hours min
• Must be able to work overtime and available for weekends as needed
• Ability to climb in overhead structures, to work beneath machines and in close quarters
• Ability to move in and around confined and clutter places and uneven areas
