In this role, you will be responsible for fabricating, welding, and fitting metal components with precision and efficiency. Your expertise will contribute to the creation of high-quality structures, ductwork, piping systems, and custom fabrications that meet strict safety and quality standards. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work on diverse projects across construction sites and manufacturing environments, utilizing your technical skills to deliver exceptional results. Duties Read and interpret detailed blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to guide fabrication and assembly processes. Perform MIG (Metal Inert Gas), TIG (Tungsten Inert Gas), FCAW (Flux-Cored Arc Welding), and welding techniques to join various metals with accuracy and strength. Use hand tools, power tools, plasma cutters, press brake machines, and sheet metal equipment to cut, shape, and assemble metal components. Measure materials precisely with calipers, micrometers, and other measuring tools to ensure proper fit and adherence to specifications. Fabricate components from sheet metal, pipe threading, ductwork, or structural steel for construction or manufacturing projects. Operate rigging equipment and forklifts safely for material handling and installation tasks on-site or in the shop. Follow all safety protocols, ASME codes & standards, and project schematics to ensure compliance with industry regulations while maintaining a clean work environment. Qualifications Proven construction site experience with a strong understanding of safety procedures and site protocols. Proficiency in MIG welding, TIG welding, FCAW welding techniques, along with specific welding skills. Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings accurately. Familiarity with hand tools, power tools, plasma cutting equipment, press brake machines, and machining processes. Knowledge of mechanical systems including pipe threading, soldering, rigging, and assembly processes. Experience working with sheet metal fabrication, ductwork installation, or structural steel is highly desirable. Basic math skills for measurements and calculations related to fabrication tasks. Valid certification in welding (such as AWS certification) is preferred; additional certifications like forklift operation or rigging are a plus.
