Position Summary:
Wire welding on a variety of metals and alloys for assemblies to meet strength and pressure requirements using aluminum, stainless steel, and other alloys. Spot welding operations on a variety of parts of products. Positions, aligns, and fits together fabricated plates, structural shapes, and weldments preparatory to assembly into structural fabricated products.
Qualifications:
High School Diploma or GED, preferred. Must be at least 18 years of age. Read blueprints and drawings and take or read measurements to plan layout and procedures Must be able to pass a weld test Ability to add and subtract using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals Must be able to lift 50lbs Deftness and attention to detail Professional Certification (e.g. an AWS welding certificate) will be a plus Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions in written, oral or diagram form. Must be able to wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) (metguard boots, protective eyewear, hard hats, gloves, ear plugs, etc)
