Job Description
- Monitor and control gas systems to ensure that all activity is running as planned and under normal operating conditions to support final sales to market.
- Support and assist team in drafting daily operation plans, reports, and communications.
- Analyze data trends to anticipate abnormal conditions to identify problems or areas of concern for maintenance.
- Assist in the planning of maintenance activities and coordinate with the team during outages and scheduled maintenance.
- Identify and troubleshoot equipment and communication failures.
- Act as the point of contact for in field emergencies.
- Assist the team in drafting, developing, and improving control manuals and procedures.
- Read and understand technical drawings and other related documents, such as, blueprints, schematics, and technical procedures, to effectively operate the system.
- Prepare various reports, documents on flow pressures, water volumes, and other required parameters.
- Respond to system alarms while troubleshooting system faults to ensure minimal interruption to operations.
- Understand and comply with applicable federal and state regulatory agencies.
- Preform all work in a safe and professional manner, in accordance with company and industry standards and regulations.
- Perform other duties upon request. Qualifications
- Possess valid driver's license and clean driving record that meets company's insurance qualifications to operate company vehicle.
- Associates degree in any technical field related studies.
- Three (3) years to five (5) years of oil and gas related experience.
- More than one (1) year of experience in gas compression.
- More than three (3) years of experience in horizontal well production.
- Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite including MS Excel, Word, etc. and use/operation of standard office equipment.
- Working knowledge of SCADA system and equipment.
- Ability to identify and evaluate telemetry and mechanical equipment.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Good time management and organizational skills.
- Able to multi-task on a day to day basis.
- Strong attention to detail and follow up skills.
- Self-starter and responsible, accountable, and confident in deliverables.
- Able to be flexible and adaptable to changing priorities, tasks, growth, and direction.
- Ability to safely operate vehicles, equipment, and tools. Work Environment
- Field based position with additional office time as needed.
- Exposer to outside environmental conditions such as wind, rain, snow, humidity, cold, and heat.
- Hazards include a variety of physical conditions, such as, proximity to moving mechanical parts, moving vehicles, electrical current, high pressure, working on scaffolding and high places, exposure to chemicals.
- The employee is required of traversing through challenging terrain to evaluate site and pipeline conditions.
