Position Summary We are seeking a Wellfield Supervisor who will report to the Director of Wellfield Operations and is responsible for performing all tasks essential to ensure complaint operations of the GCCS including data gathering, data analysis and preparation of compliance documentation. The GCCS consists of a series of extraction points, known as wells, that are interconnected via piping. Proper operation of the GCCS is required to comply with State and Federal environmental regulations. Most of day will be spent in the field maintaining the GCCS. Analytical thinking, prior data analysis skills, and effective communication skills required. Duties and Responsibilities Coordinate GCCS activities with contractors, landfill operations, and plant operations. Wellfield monitoring. Liquid level measurements in gas extraction wells. Pneumatic pump troubleshooting, cleaning, and maintenance. Conduct routine blower and flare operations. Monitor perimeter probes. Manage and interpret data from wellfield extraction locations. Available for on-call response to a GCCS related malfunction event. Managing projects that occur on their wellfields. Work needed to achieve and maintain regulatory compliance at wellfield they supervise. Providing expert evaluation of wellfields. Must be able to work outside 80%
  • 90% of the day.
Qualifications and Skills Some higher education or vocational training is preferred but not essential. 5+ years of experience in landfill gas related projects. Candidate must be at least 18 years old. MVR check and acceptable drug screen. Ability to work independently and in a team environment, accepting direction from director and senior management as required. Must possess effective organizational, written, and verbal communication skills. Possess intermediate computer skills (Microsoft Office). Must possess a current and valid driver's license, without any restrictions. Work Hours and Arrangements Monday
  • Friday; 7:00 a.m.
  • 3:30 p.m. On call every other week, Monday to Monday 7:00 p.m.

m.; overtime; weekend availability. This role requires the successful candidate to be located within no more than a 1 hour driving distance of the assigned Wellfield location to support on‑site operational needs, emergency response, and routine field coordination. Physical Requirements The physical demands described are representative of those required by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. Reasonable accommodation may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions. Position requires physical effort such as that associated with driving a motorized vehicle, operating an ATV, using hand tools, and typing on a computer. Position requires moderate lifting (10-50 lbs.), occasional need to walk on irregular surfaces, and occasional stooping, kneeling, climbing, or crouching.
