Cypress Creek Assisted Living & Memory Care•Sun City Center (Ruskin), Florida Cypress Creek Assisted Living & Memory Care is a family-owned and operated senior living community dedicated to creating a warm, compassionate, and person-centered environment for our residents and staff. Located in the heart of Sun City Center, we pride ourselves on delivering exceptional care with a personal touch. We are currently seeking an experienced, dedicated Wellness Director to join our leadership team. This is a critical leadership role responsible for overseeing all clinical operations within the community and ensuring the highest standards of care for our residents. We are only interviewing applicants that have employment history in an ALF setting.
Position Summary:
The Wellness Director plays an integral role in supporting and guiding the clinical team—including Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs), the Resident Care Coordinator, Medication Technicians, and Resident Caregivers. This individual will be responsible for coordinating all aspects of resident care, maintaining regulatory compliance, and fostering positive relationships with residents, families, team members, and healthcare partners. This leadership position requires clinical expertise, strong interpersonal skills, and a commitment to excellence in senior care. Key Responsibilities:
Oversee day-to-day clinical operations, ensuring exceptional resident care and safety. Conduct comprehensive resident assessments and develop individualized care plans. Monitor residents for changes in condition and implement appropriate interventions. Hire, supervise, train, and evaluate clinical staff, including LPNs, Caregivers, and Med Techs. Lead quality assurance and risk management initiatives to drive performance and compliance. Audit and ensure staff adherence to state, federal, and internal regulatory standards. Prepare for and participate in surveys, inspections, and audits; draft and implement Plans of Correction as needed. Collaborate with the Sales & Marketing team to develop personalized care experiences that support occupancy goals and resident satisfaction. Build and maintain strong relationships with residents, families, staff, vendors, physicians, and third-party providers. Provide direct nursing care and coverage when necessary. Maintain a 24/7 on-call availability for clinical emergencies or guidance. Perform additional duties as assigned by the Executive Director or leadership team.
Qualifications & Requirements:
Must hold a current Florida LPN license. Minimum of 3 years' leadership experience in Assisted Living and/or Memory Care required. Proven ability to manage and motivate a diverse clinical team in a fast-paced environment. Strong communication and leadership skills with the ability to build trust and inspire others. Knowledge of relevant state and federal regulations, including AHCA and HIPAA standards. Proficiency in electronic health records and basic computer software (EMAR, Microsoft Word, Outlook, etc.). Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. Must be professional, personable, dependable, and compassionate. Must live within a 30-minute commute to the community.
