  • Part-time Job Summary We are currently recruiting a Wine Ambassador to join our small and dedicated team at Rancho Victoria Vineyard & Winery.

Qualifications:
Must be 21 years of age. Passionate about wine and customer service. Knowledge of wine, the wine industry, wine production, Amador County, and the surrounding Sierra Foothills AVA preferred. At least 1-year experience in the wine industry, sales, restaurant, or customer service industry. Dynamic communication skills & positive attitude. Must have a clean professional appearance Commitment to excellence and high standards. Strong organizational, problem-solving and analytical skills. Ability to multitask, manage priorities, and workflow. Computer literacy. Demonstrated ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts and basic math. This position must work weekends, events, and some evenings. Clean driving record.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Promptly greets all visitors to the winery and pours wines for tasting. Describes wines, winemaking techniques, and winery history of Rancho Victoria Vineyard; answers customers questions about wines. Provides general tourist information to customers. Operates POS, handles credit card sales, and wine club releases. Follows company schedule for special promotions and sales and release of wines. Monitors merchandise displays and overall appearance and cleanliness Tasting Room and surrounding property, including stocking of wine and retail items as needed. Performs Daily inventory counts for wine and merchandise. Capable of Opening and Closing duties related to the winery and tasting room. May represent winery at outside functions as needed. Assists other departments and employees as needed.
PHYSICAL/MENTAL REQUIREMENTS
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to do the following: Stand and walk for long periods of time. Coordinate multiple tasks simultaneously. Perform some repetitive motion activities. Lift up to 45 lbs.
