Wine Bar & Dining Room Lead

We're looking for someone who genuinely loves hospitality, a person who knows their way around a beer list and a wine menu, can own a dining room, and makes every guest feel like they're the most important table in the house. This role is the heartbeat of our front-of-house experience. Customer service isn't just part of this job, it is the job. We want someone who takes real pride in the guest experience and holds that standard from the moment someone walks in to the moment they leave. What you'll do Oversee the dining room and beer & wine bar during your shift, ensuring a seamless guest experience from start to finish Guide guests through our beer and wine selections with confidence and genuine enthusiasm Take orders, run food, and manage table flow in a busy environment Operate our POS system accurately, processing orders, modifications, and payments Keep the bar and dining room clean, organized, and well-stocked Anticipate guest needs before they have to ask and handle any issues with grace Nice to have Experience leading or supporting front-of-house operations RBS certification and willingness to obtain one A passion for local craft beer and California wines Comfort working events, pop-ups, and high-volume service nights Support the broader team and step in wherever needed What we're looking for Solid knowledge of beer styles and wine varietals: you can talk about them naturally and help guests find something they'll love Proven experience with POS systems; you're fast, accurate, and unfazed by a busy queue Exceptional customer service: warm, attentive, and consistent, even on hard nights at least 1 year of experience in restaurant, bar, or front-of-house service Availability of at least 4 days per week, including weekends and evenings A calm, solutions-focused attitude: you handle the unexpected without rattling the room Strong communication skills and a real team mentality
