Job Description
Are you passionate about working with children and creating a positive, engaging environment? The Hockomock Area YMCA is looking for dedicated Group Leaders for the Wrentham School Program to assist in implementing daily routines, supervising students in our School's Out Program, and ensuring a safe, healthy, and constructive space for all participants. If you're enthusiastic, responsible, and eager to make a difference in the lives of young learners, we'd love to hear from you! Essential Functions Assist in the development and implementation of curriculum and group activities. Participate in all aspects of the daily schedule, including: Snack and lunch preparation and cleanup. Programming and activities. Setup and cleanup of the daily program space. Provide supervision and guidance to youth, ensuring a safe and engaging environment. Adhere to all YMCA health and safety policies and EEC regulations. Communicate any concerns to the Site Director in a timely manner. Utilize positive redirection techniques, actively listening and responding appropriately to children. Maintain a positive and professional attitude when interacting with children, parents, and staff. Ensure assigned areas remain clean, organized, and welcoming. Ability to thrive in a busy, fast-paced environment while managing multiple tasks effectively. Strong work ethic with excellent communication, organization, and collaboration skills. Demonstrated commitment and dedication, with the ability to uphold and communicate the mission, goals, and purpose of the YMCA. Must be 16 years of age or older. Prior experience working with school-age children preferred. Ability to work independently, take initiative, and accept responsibility. First Aid and CPR certification required within the first 30 days of employment.
