Job Description

Northland Lawn, Sport & Equipment's growing family of full-service John Deere dealerships is looking for highly motivated individuals across all locations to help us serve our wide range of agricultural, commercial, municipal, and residential customers. Our group of six dealerships offer a wide range of America's best equipment including John Deere, Polaris, Arctic Cat, Honda, Stihl, Floe Docks, and many other leading brands. In addition, we offer: Company paid health insurance options Dental Vision HSA 401(k) with up to 5% match Generous employee discounts As a Yard attendant you will manage the safe and proper loading and unloading of customer equipment at the dealership. Oversee the yard and ensure that the service shop has the right piece of equipment to work on when they need it. This position provides critical support to all departments and has a significant impact on our customer service excellence.
Responsibilities:
Follow all instructions for pick up, transport and delivery of equipment and supplies for the dealership or to/from customers Keep records of pickup and deliveries and obtain necessary signatures and receipts as requested by supervisors Ensure units are brought to the service departments in a timely manner to support their efficiency and ensure that the completed work is promptly removed and properly stored or readied for client pickup Unload materials and equipment - both customer-owned, and company owned Correctly tag, identify, and stage items and properly record location according to procedure Maintain an organized clean and safe yard area. Ensure rest rooms are regularly cleaned, trash cans are emptied, floors are swept, as well as seasonal landscape maintenance and snow removal. Wash and clean equipment in advance of customer pickup and show floor, prepare for shipment or transport Support yard security through vigilance and ensure gates / doors are locked at the end of each day. Prepare items for return, for example: Enviro-crate, JD pallets, core returns, Ariens crates, Polaris crates, scrap inventory control and return shipment control. May instruct customer on the basic operating instructions at the time of delivery. Keep records of pickup and deliveries and obtain necessary signatures and receipts as requested by supervisors Performs various other duties as assigned
Job Requirements:
Experience operating heavy equipment and powersports Well-developed organizational and planning skills Basic computer skills Good customer presentation
