Yard Jockey

CF Logistics, LLC, located in Southeastern, PA , has an immediate opening for a Yard Jockey. Job Summary We are seeking a reliable and experienced Yard Jockey to efficiently maneuver and position trailers within our facility. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of commercial driving, including tractor-trailer operations, and possess the skills necessary to ensure safe and timely movement of freight. This role is vital in maintaining smooth yard operations and supporting overall logistics functions. Duties Safely operate yard tractors and trucks with manual transmission to move trailers around the yard and loading docks Load and unload freight from refrigerated trailers, flatbeds, tankers, dump trucks, roll-off trucks, and other freight vehicles Position trailers accurately for loading, unloading, or transfer to other locations within the yard Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections on yard equipment to ensure safety compliance Assist with route driving as needed for delivery or pickup tasks Utilize forklift or other equipment when necessary for handling freight or repositioning trailers Maintain a clean and organized yard environment to promote safety and efficiency Follow all safety protocols and traffic regulations within the yard area Skills Proven experience in truck driving, commercial driving, or as a delivery driver preferred Ability to operate manual transmission vehicles confidently Experience with refrigerated trailers, flatbeds, tankers, dump trucks, roll-off trucks, and tractor-trailers is highly desirable Skilled in load & unload procedures for various freight types Familiarity with route driving and trailer positioning within busy yards Ability to operate forklifts or similar equipment is a plus Strong attention to safety standards and procedures Good communication skills and ability to work independently or as part of a team This position requires candidates to demonstrate professionalism, safety awareness, and proficiency in operating various types of commercial vehicles.
