YARD MATERIAL HANDLER

As a Material Handler , you will be responsible for handling, moving, and storing various non-hazardous and hazardous materials within a warehouse and yard facility. The main duty will include, but is not limited to, picking and packing material, loading and unloading different transport items, recording inventory statuses, and making sure deliveries properly match purchase orders. You will maintain a current forklift certification and follow all company safety guidelines. This position requires patience and steadiness, along with a teamwork mentality. This position will undergo several weeks of training, progressing from a helper to a FT Material handler. Duties/Responsibilities Verify the accuracy of the quantity and quality of incoming and outgoing deliveries Label/Scan every product and put it away accordingly Identify, pull, and wrap the correct products per the customer order Handle returns by completing documentation and other required communication Keep all material handling equipment in the best condition by conducting regular maintenance and logs Cycle counting and identifying any inventory issues Communicating issues that would include missing and/or damaged material, as well as material that may have been pulled or received incorrectly. Keep work areas neat and tidy Other duties as assigned
