In this energetic role, you will be responsible for supporting warehouse distribution activities, operating heavy equipment, and ensuring the smooth flow of goods in and out of our facility. Your proactive approach and attention to safety will help us maintain an efficient, organized yard environment where teamwork and safety come first. This paid position offers a fantastic opportunity to develop skills in warehouse management, heavy equipment operation, and materials handling in a fast-paced setting. Responsibilities Load and unload trucks using forklifts, clamp trucks, pallet jacks, and other heavy equipment while adhering to OSHA safety standards. Assist with order picking using RF scanners and pickers to ensure accurate shipment processing. Operate cranes and other heavy machinery to move large materials safely within the yard. Support shipping & receiving activities by verifying inbound and outbound shipments, ensuring proper documentation and inventory accuracy. Maintain a clean, organized yard by stacking pallets, managing materials handling equipment, and ensuring safe pathways for all personnel. Collaborate with warehouse supervisors to coordinate load & unload schedules, optimize space utilization, and improve workflow efficiency. Follow all safety protocols related to heavy equipment operation, construction site standards, and OSHA regulations to promote a safe working environment. Experience Prior experience in warehouse distribution or warehouse management systems is highly preferred. Hands-on experience operating forklifts, clamp trucks, cranes, pallet jacks, and other heavy equipment is essential. Knowledge of materials handling procedures, shipping & receiving processes, and OSHA safety standards is required. Experience with order picker technology, RF scanners, or warehouse management systems will be advantageous. Construction or heavy machinery operation background is a plus. Strong mechanical knowledge and the ability to troubleshoot basic equipment issues are beneficial. Previous roles involving warehouse supervision or team coordination will support success in this position.
