Job Description:

As a Youth Development Intern, you will:

• Work alongside YMCA leadership to help plan and deliver engaging youth programs
• Build leadership and management skills by supporting camp counselors and volunteers
• Bring ideas to life by helping develop and implement youth-focused initiatives
• Support a safe and positive environment by following safety protocols and contributing to child abuse prevention efforts
• Take ownership of assigned programs, including organizing supplies, coordinating activities, and supporting daily operations
• Learn and apply behavior management strategies while assisting with parent communication and conflict resolution
• Collaborate with your supervisor and the Intern Advisory Committee to create a personalized and meaningful internship experience What We're Looking For We're looking for motivated individuals who are ready to learn, take initiative, and contribute to a team.

• Complete all required training within 30 days of hire
• Maintain confidentiality and professionalism at all times
• Attend regular one-on-one meetings for feedback and growth
• Be flexible with scheduling, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed Qualifications Requirements
• Successful completion of a background screening
• Current or willingness to obtain First Aid/CPR/AED certification (YMCA, American Red Cross, American Heart Association, or American Health and Safety Institute)
• Ability to use computers, tablets, and basic software
