Program Manager Position Summary The Youth Case Manager (Career Advisor) will empower youth participants across Blount, Chilton, Shelby, St. Clair, and Walker counties by providing individualized career guidance, case management, and job readiness support. This position plays a key role in mentoring youth, facilitating access to education and employment opportunities, and building strong community and employer partnerships. The ideal candidate is passionate about youth development and committed to helping young people overcome barriers to success. Key ResponsibilitiesOutreach & Recruitment Develop and implement outreach strategies to engage eligible youth in Blount, Chilton, Shelby, St. Clair, and Walker counties . Maintain accurate records of outreach efforts, community contacts, and partnership activities. Build collaborative relationships with local schools, community-based organizations, training providers, and employers to identify and recruit participants. Case Management Manage a caseload of youth participants, including eligibility determination, intake, and application processing. Conduct assessments to identify participants' strengths, barriers, and career interests. Create and monitor Individual Employment Development Plans (IEDPs) that reflect each youth's goals and progress. Provide referrals and access to supportive services such as transportation, tutoring, childcare, and counseling. Career Readiness & Employment Support Facilitate workshops on resume writing, interview preparation, financial literacy, and workplace professionalism. Connect participants to training programs, apprenticeships, internships, and job opportunities aligned with regional labor market needs. Share relevant labor market information and employment trends in the five-county area. Monitoring & Evaluation Track participant progress through case notes, phone calls, check-ins, and site visits. Evaluate outcomes and adjust IEDPs based on participant needs and achievements. Monitor partner services to ensure program quality and compliance. Administrative Duties Respond to inquiries from participants, parents, and community partners about the program. Maintain accurate and complete case files in compliance with organizational, state, and federal guidelines. Collaborate with schools, training providers, and employers to document participant progress and outcomes. Assist with data reporting, audits, and grant compliance as needed. Employer Engagement Develop and maintain partnerships with employers across the five-county service area to support youth job placements. Promote and coordinate work-based learning opportunities, including internships and apprenticeships. Assist youth with job searches and provide post-employment support as needed. Other Duties Attend staff meetings, training sessions, and community outreach events. Perform other duties as assigned to support program success. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in human services, education, social sciences, or a related field (preferred). Minimum of 2 years of experience in case management, workforce development, or youth services (or equivalent: 6 months experience plus 2 years of related education). Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills. Ability to effectively engage and support youth from diverse backgrounds. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and comfort with using case management systems. Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred. Must have reliable transportation, a valid driver's license, and current auto insurance. Willingness to travel frequently throughout Blount, Chilton, Shelby, St. Clair, and Walker counties , with occasional evening or weekend availability.Job Type:
