POSITION DESCRIPTION

Youth Development Professional Department:
Operations Reports to: Executive Operations Director /Youth Development Professional Lead 1 PRIMARYFUNCTION
Provide a safe and productive environment for youth and members. Deliver a broad range of program's within the Club, such as Social Recreation, Arts and Crafts and Sports Fitness. Build supportive relationships with youth members and families.KEY ROLES
(Essential Job Responsibilities): Youth Development 1.Oversee the youth participating in assigned programs and activities. Enssure that the Youth Development Strategy is implemented at all times. 2. Ensure that members are encouraged to participate in a variety of programs and activities. Program Development/Implementation 3.Ensure that all scheduled programs/activities are aligned with Club goals and outcomes. Ensure that all aspects of the program safegard the health and safety of members and effectively implements the standards of programmimg. 4. Ensure program areas are safe, well ventilated and well lit; and that equipment is maintained in good working condition. Reporting all needed repairs to Director of 5. Ensure the ongoing evaluation of Club programs. Ensure programs/activities respond to the members needs and address their gender, age and cultural diversity. 6. Control Club program and activity expenditures with in approved budget and revenue/resources. 7. Ensure proper record keeping and reporting including activities and events conduct, breakdowns of daily participation figures, notable achievements and any problems/issues. upcoming events and the dissemination of timely information for the development of advertising and promotion materials.ADDITIONAL DUTIES
1. Fully implement any special programs and or events assigned to you (ie: Positive Action, Life Skills, research based programs) 2. Maintain your cleaning schedule and ensure all asigned to you are clean on the proper schedule (daily/weekly/monthly) in a timely fashion.RELATIONSHIPS
Internal:
Maintains close, daily contact with Club staff (professional and volunteer) and supervisor to receive/provide information, discuss issues, explain guidelines/instructional needs, and advise administration of finding.External:
Maintains contact with members, families and the general public to give and obtain information, either in response to inquiries or as instructed by supervisor.SKILLS/KNOWLEDGE REQUIRED
Strong communication skills both verbal and written Group leadership skills including understand of group dynamics Demonstrated organizational, staff and project management abilities Strong customer relations skills Able to maintain strict confidentiality Able to successfully complete a background investigation Mandatory CPR and First Aid CertificationsWORK ENVIRONMENT
