Assist in the implementation and delivery of Youth Service Center services in accordance with Kentucky FRYSC statutory requirements and the FRYSC Administrator's Guidebook. Under the direction of the Youth Service Center Coordinator, the Assistant Coordinator supports implementation of the Center's Continuation Program Plan by assisting with program delivery, coordinating activities, maintaining documentation, and supporting services designed to address identified student and family needs.DISTINGUISHING CHARACTERISTICS
The Assistant Coordinator supports the daily operation and implementation of Youth Service Center services under the supervision of the Center Coordinator. Responsibilities focus on program implementation, service coordination, documentation, and support of activities aligned with the Center's required component areas and Continuation Program Plan.PROGRAM SCOPE AND REQUIRED COMPONENTS
The Youth Service Center operates within the statutory core component areas established for Kentucky FRYSC programs. Under the direction of the Coordinator, the Assistant Coordinator assists in implementing services within the following areas: Referrals for Health and Social Services Family Crisis and Mental Health Counseling/Referrals to Substance Abuse Education and Counseling Summer and Part Time Job Development Career Exploration and Development Specific activities within each component are determined biennially through the Center's needs assessment and Continuation Program Plan.REPRESENTATIVE DUTIES
Program Implementation and Service Delivery Assist in implementing programs and services identified in the Center's Continuation Program Plan. Provide support for activities addressing student and family needs within the Youth Service Center component areas. Coordinate and facilitate activities, workshops, or events as assigned by the Coordinator. Provide information, referrals, and assistance to students and families seeking community resources and services. Support outreach efforts to ensure students and families are aware of available Center services. Program Documentation and Data Collection Maintain accurate records of services provided to students and families in accordance with state reporting requirements. Assist with documentation of individual and group contacts in the state data reporting system. Compile and organize records, reports, and program documentation as required. Assist the Coordinator in gathering information needed for program evaluation and reporting. Coordination and Collaboration Maintain communication with school staff regarding services available through the Youth Service Center. Assist in coordinating services with community agencies and service providers. Support collaboration between the Center, school personnel, students, families, and community partners. Serve as a liaison with outside agencies for routine program coordination as assigned. Program Support Assist with planning, organizing, and conducting Center activities and events. Support the Coordinator in implementation of the Center's Continuation Program Plan. Assist with preparation of materials for meetings, presentations, and reports. Support outreach, training opportunities, and informational sessions as directed by the Coordinator. Compliance and Operations Assist in ensuring Center activities comply with federal, state, and district policies, under the direction of the Coordinator. Maintain confidentiality of student and family information. Support the efficient daily operation of the Center. Other Duties Perform related duties as assigned by the Coordinator or district administration.KNOWLEDGE AND ABILITIES
Knowledge of Youth Service Center goals and component areas; community resources and referral processes; record-keeping and documentation procedures; data collection and reporting requirements; communication practices; and policies governing school-based programs. Ability to implement programs within the Center's Continuation Program Plan; maintain accurate records; build positive relationships with students, families, and community partners; communicate effectively; organize activities and manage assigned tasks; work cooperatively with school staff and community agencies; and maintain confidentiality.EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
High school graduate or GED required. Education or experience in related field preferred.Position Type:
